Liberal Republican John McCain is out stomping for the post of Obamas Vice President running mate as he scolded the GOP of North Carolina for using campaign ads that questioned Obama's character. After all as Bill Clinton proved Character doesn't matter. McCain's get tough on conservatives seems to be working as more and more Conservatives become polarized.
David Plouffe, Obama's campaign manager made the statement that McCain had the Racist vote. In true McCain fashion he made no comment against the remark.
In my humble opinion the Obama-McCain ticket seems to be the front runner with the Clinton-Clinton ticket not far behind

When you protested CNN did you see any tanks rolling down Sunset Blvd and remember where you came from? When you look in your daughters eyes especially if you have more then one, do you remember where you came from? When you practice you religion no matter what it is, do you remember where you came from? When you access all the opportunities this country has to offer, do you remember where you came from?
As the title suggest we need to thank God for the SacBee and the Feds. In the Bee today an article by Andrew Mcintosh Feds to issue safety alert on nail guns Really nail guns are dangerous? who would have thought! After reading this I put my nail gun that I was using as a back scratcher down and ran into my tool shed and low and behold as I looked at my chain saw there was no warning on it. How could this potentially dangerous tool have no warning Why aren't federal safety officials ignoring this? Needing a frozen concoction I went to the kitchen and grabbed the blender, Awwwwwww no warning. If only the Federal government had been around millions of years ago to put warning labels on the Saber Toothed Tiger we would have had a few less cavemen around to do insurance commercials, hmmmm maybe that was a good thing.
Today I picked up a copy of the Gold River Community newspaper and was pleased to read the article from David M. Sander titled Raising Taxes Not The Answer. During David's term as Mayor of Rancho Cordova they had a $10.5 million dollar budget surplus and built up over $81 million in reserves. David writes they did this with three mechanisms. 1. The Yellow Page Test: This done by looking up the public sector to see if they can find a provider of the service they need before creating costly new bureaucracies. 2. The Checkbook Principle: We spend less then we bring in period. 3. Measure Real Results: If we can't measure the results, we don't spend the money. Such simple logic you think it would be applied everywhere and as a twenty year resident of the city I remember what it was like being under the boot of the county, and what great strides the Mayor and City Council have made in making Rancho Cordova a better place to live.

Bag Man Lloyd Levine is pushing a bill that would require a $0.15 per bag on the customers that use plastic bags, if the future use of plastic bags don't decline by 70% by the end of 2012. Levine also would like the following surcharges in the future. 1. Taking your bags using an alternative fuel vehicle $0.00 surcharge. 2. Using a mid size vehicle $0.50 per bag 3. Using an SUV $1.00 a bag 4. Hauling away your groceries in a shopping cart $10.00 This is for pick-up because we know you'll just leave the cart by the roadside.
