Bag Man Lloyd Levine is pushing a bill that would require a $0.15 per bag on the customers that use plastic bags, if the future use of plastic bags don't decline by 70% by the end of 2012.Levine also would like the following surcharges in the future.
1. Taking your bags using an alternative fuel vehicle $0.00 surcharge.
2. Using a mid size vehicle $0.50 per bag
3. Using an SUV $1.00 a bag
4. Hauling away your groceries in a shopping cart $10.00 This is for pick-up because we know you'll just leave the cart by the roadside.
