THE DEMOCRATIC SENATE HAS ITS WAY

Reading Steve Lawrence article in the SacBee regarding the passing of the gay marriage bill I kind of feel what's the point. What's the point of any proposition that the people vote for when activist judges and pandering politicians ignore the majority. And please don't tell me about the majority of people in the south wanted to keep segregation,Blah,Blah, Blah. I get sick and tired of hearing the gay rights issue compared to the civil rights movement of the 60's its not even close. Sen. Jackie Speier,D-Hillsorough said " This is probably the most profound civil rights movement of our generation, without a doubt" I think this demeans the memory of those that suffered and gave up their lives throughout that period of time and continue up to today.
Well the barbarians are at the gate, and seeing how are vote was turned over I see an increasing irrelevance of democratic government being replaced with a bureaucratic and judicial government. Today marriages is no longer special or unique its what ever you want it to be. Well what's the next big gay agenda?

Support the redistricting reform initiative. It will increase accountability for the legislature.

America is not a democracy, it is a republic. The difference is huge because, in a republic, the majority cannot vote away the rights of the minority. It is the Constitution that governs.

Tell me why civil unions aren't protected by the privileges and immunities and equal protection clauses of the Constitution.
