FLOOD PROTECTION
The SACbeeHas a story about flood insurance and levees so I thought I would share some pictures of different countries ideas about flood control. The first one is how the Italians protect Venice. Number 2 is how the English protect London. And the next how the Dutch protect Holland. The last one is one of ours. How much did this cost?

The sad thing is it probably took 10 years, 8 trillion dollars and 46 environmental impact studies to get that glorified mud fence.
dear god, those pictures are disturbing. Bet Ray Nagin is rolling around in all that $$$
