For those folks that think a bigger and more intrusive government is better please go to 2006 Index of Economic Freedom web site. When you click on countries You see Hong Kong is number one while the U.S. is number 9 As you go down the list you see that the countries with less freedom or more government intrusion do far less economically. The lefts favored nations, France and Germany came in 44th and 19th.
