NOT IN MY CORNFIELD!

Dorothy Korber had this news item in the Sacbee today regarding the building of the Islamic School in Lodi. The County supervisors voted unanimously to overturn their Planning Commission's July approval.
The County supervisors cited land-use concerns and not a federal investigation involving the founders of the school.
Some of the area residents did bring up the terrorist link and who can blame them. I would feel a little leary of one being built next to me. I would worry even more with it being built out in the boonies away from prying eyes. After all Muhammed Adil Khan and Shabbir Ahmed the two men who spearheaded this project were arrested by federal agents and have since been voluntarily deported back to Pakistan.
Pamela Parvez, a Muslim mother from Stockton wept in frustration. She blamed backlash from the FBI investigation for the no vote. "that's what's behind this whole thing'" she said.
Pam if you think its been hard trying to build a Islamic school/worship hall/community center in that corn field try building a Walmart there I assure you the uproar would have been ten times as bad.

Koran-Dinner Table:[5.51]
"O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

Try to get a Muslim to explain this quote from the Koran. Forget it!
