A NEW UNDERDOG STORY

According to Kevin Yamamura of the Bee It looks like Phil likes his role as the underdog. I think its a role he needs to get used to. Maybe some more tax and spend measures may help.

CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATS THUMB NOSE AT LAWS

The State Senate Democrats have thumbed their noses at our laws regarding immigration. Sen. Sheila Kuehl, D-Santa Monica, said "students could learn a valuable lesson by attending the rallies instead of school" that's a no brainier with the state of our schools. The best thing parents can do is keep your kid home make them cut the grass, wash the dishes, wash the clothes and make them clean up the house spotless and tell them that will be your life if you don't go to school.
How about giving everything south of Bakersfield to Mexico? I would be for that. The Hollywood left wouldn't have to move because Bush is President. And the best thing is Sen. Sheila Kuehl can protest the really strict immigration laws of Mexico.

I ONLY SKIMMED THIS MUCH!!

Is it any surprise that Rep. Mollohan (D W.VA,) has not been all over the press the way Tom Delays name was? As I have said in the past I'm not a big tv watcher, but I certainly heard all about the republicans that were in trouble day in and day out. I guess the stepping down of the leading Democrat on the Ethics Committee is not a big deal. More details at the Washington Post And lets not forget the troubles that surround Louisiana's Rep.William J. Jefferson is having.

A FITTING TRIBUTE

The Media Research Center had there annual DisHonors Awards presentations. This is were they roasted the most outrageously biased liberal reporters. They also did a tribute to the military. First they did a toast to the fallen. There table is pictured on the left. They then did a video tribute to the men and women in the military in Iran. If a tear don't come to your eye after watching it, then I guess there's no hope for you. Take a few minutes and watch both videos and remember the heroes in your prayers. You can watch the videos here Thank you.

ANNUAL STORIES TELLER CONVENTION

Steve Westley was seen at the annual stories teller convention. However; it was unclear if he was telling the story of the fish that got away or the small size of a Phil Angelides tax increase.

ANGELIDES&WESTLY INFOMERCIAL

ANGELIDES: "Hi my name is Phil"
WESTLY: "And my name is Steve"
ANGELIDES: " We are the two leading gubernatorial candidates." "But there is one thing we both agree on."
WESTLEY: "What would that be Phil?"
ANGELIDES: " That would be Proposition 82."
WESTLEY: " That's right Phil, 82 is the proposition that makes someone else pay for your little brats daycare so you are free to go do what ever it is you do."
ANGELIDES: " What a sweet deal. The SacBee was correct when it said we showed are support by singing the Bus Song"
WESTLEY: "And if you think that's a great prop. We plan to offer prop.88 this would make other people pay for your funeral expenses. Why should only the rich have big fancy funerals?"
ANGELIDES: "Well folks if you like womb to the tomb government then vote for Me or Steve and together we'll all sing the Bus Song."
WESTLEY: "EITHER WAY YOU'LL BE TAKEN FOR A RIDE."

OLD SOLDIERS

"Old soldiers never die, they just fade away." 'And like the old soldier of that ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away - an old soldier who tried to do his duty as God gave him the light to see that duty. Good-bye.' Today the old soldier goes to CNN
Gen. Zinni you no longer earn my salute.

MO MONEY MO MONEY MO MONEY!!

At the third annual Richard Belzer look-a-like contest winner Phil (I need mo money) Angelides spelled out his plans for higher taxes to again save our schools. " I will raise taxes " Phil said. Other options like fiscal responsibility just would not fit into the California Teachers Association play book. Phil will next start flirting with the SEIU and the Californias Nurses Association. I'm sure he'll start raising taxes to help their special interest too.

GO TO RENO

In Daniel Weintraub's webblog "All The Way To Reno" He writes about Apple computer creating a Nevada subsidy to manage its cash flow diverting tax money out of California. It comes as no surprise to me. What is a surprise is that more companies don't do the same. In Steve Forbes Principles of Prosperity, Principle 3 states "The third principle of economic prosperity is low taxes. Taxes are not just a means of raising revenue for the government. They are also a price. Income taxes are a price paid for working; taxes on profits are the price paid for being successful in business; taxes on capital gains are the price paid for taking risks. In light of this, the importance of low taxes is easy to see: When you lower the price of good things - things like work, success and risk-taking-you tend to get more of them. Raise the price of these good things and you get less. In 2003, we lowered tax rates in the U.S. and the economy started to grow again. As we've seen time and again, tax cuts do not mean a loss of tax revenue. By increasing incentives, the government comes out ahead. Washington's revenues in the last fiscal year were up 15 percent a $100 billion above expectations. Washington's problem is not revenue, but spending." Maybe its time we try this in California.

Senator unhurt in Air Crash

The Associated Press reports that New York junior Senator Hillary Clinton narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting when forced to make an emergency landing in Southern New Jersey because of bad weather.

National Transportation Safety Board officials have issued a preliminary determination that pilot error contributed to the accident, and that the senator was flying a single engine aircraft in IFR (instrument flight rating) conditions while only having a VFR (visual flight) rating.

The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board. Fortunately, no one on the ground was injured.

Photographs taken at the scene show the extent of damage to Senator Clinton's aircraft. She was very lucky

ITS TIME FOR A GOOD READ!

After the immigration bill stalled. The authors of the bill held a press conference on who to blame. Of course as I said in a previous post both sides saw a lot of voters, and nothing would get done. At the press conference Ted Kennedy said "I was going to read my late brothers book A Nation of Immigrants but I chose something about me." So if you read my March 26th post I was spot on.

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

The SacBee ran a story today regarding AB2987 This is a bill put together by Fabian Nunez. This bill would allow telephone companies to compete directly against cable firms by obtaining a state-issued franchise rather than negotiating separately with cities and counties. Not being on the cutting edge of technology or a big fan of TV I don't know if this is a good thing or not. But I had to do a Scobby Do when I read
"This is the most significant piece of legislation in this area, perhaps, that California has ever seen," said Assemblyman Lloyd Levine, D-Van Nuys, a co-author of AB 2987. So Nunez and Levine all I want to know is "Who's In Your Wallet"

NOT A BAD IDEA

Newsday.com Reports that Hillary was pandering to her base again and trolling for likely voters legal or illegal. She said the GOP immigration bill would make her a criminal. Honey you have been a criminal going back to the Rose Law Firm and your insider trading on cattle futures. Hillary also said it would ruin the economy. Please would strawberries and tomatoes go up in price a bit? And if they did the market would adjust. What hurts the economy is the strain on the social services for countless illegal aliens. What wou;d be truly criminal would be you becoming President.

DEMOCRATS BEST SELLER

The SacBee article today on the "Great American Boycott" is pretty reviling. Just look who is helping with the organizing with the it. The ANSWER Coalition, whose member groups range from the Free Palestine Alliance to the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the Korea Truth Coalition. With the democrats stalling and afraid of getting its kook base mad, the democrats came out with their new book.
Some chapters include:
1: How to sneak into the USA with tax payers money
2: Healthcare with tax payer money
3: Education with taxpayer money
4: How to vote illegally

TAXPAYERS SHAFTED

Not happy with just beating on capitol police Rep. Cynthia Mckinney also likes to waste tax payer money. Action news 2 Atlanta reports Mckinney spent about $1000 to fly Issac Hayes to Georgia to dedicate a new office building. The money came from a fund that is supposed to be used for office supplies. In her defense she said she called Staples and asked for Hayes and they said "Issac Hayes we got that" Mckinney said that the whole thing was an error and they would pay back the money. We could really clear our court dockets if we would grant this excuse to all criminals that steal. Give back the stuff and get a get out of jail card.
Round trip to Atlanta $600.00, 2 days hotel $400.00 Getting your sorry face all over the net PRICELESS

HILLARY HEART BROKE BY HOLLYWOOD DIS

After reading in the LA Times Hollywood has soured on her as a presidential candidate, Hillary went on a mad eating binge. The only thing that stopped the over eating was recurrent thoughts of Ted Kennedy in his swim suit. Political analyst turned actress Kathleen Turner (of Bauchman Tunner overdrive fame I think) had this to say of Hillary as a candidate "We don't want a celebrity woman president. We want someone who is really proven, someone with a really good foundation at that level, not just a star." Hang in there Hill baby maybe you can get Bill to turn those Hollywood types around. Well maybe not seeing how you to don't talk to each other. How about getting back to who you really are and get in touch with the left again.

The director of Basic instinct 2 Paul Verhoeven blamed the poor showing of his film on this administrations three censors pictured on the left. Its because of the current conservative movement that we cant sell crap anymore. Verhoeven known for other box office flops (Hollow Man and Show girls) Hey Paul its not that we conservatives don't enjoy a n exotic thriller its that you should have named the movie Basic In Stink. The rest of the story can be read at Reuters
