WHY IS THIS NEWS

The Pew Research Center conducted a poll regarding Democrats and religion. CBC NEWS reported the findings. Fewer people see Democrats as friendly to religion now than felt that way a year ago. Again why is this news? This is something everyone on the right has always known.
CBS goes on to say the DNC hired someone to coordinate religious outreach, encouraged state parties to work more closely with the religious community, and had Chairman Howard Dean meet with clergy and others in the religious community during his travels around the country.
that's the problem Dems. we don't have to hire anyone; being religious is natural for us.
So when Dems get religion most people think phony.

WHAT IF

This is a picture of a joint Russian and Chinese training exercise. What if this was a joint attack comming across the Bearing strait into Alaska. Would the Cindy Sheehans and the pink ladies have the stomach for this or would we give up Alaska and let them have the oil? Just a thought

LOCKYER AFTER BIG PHARMACY

Attorney General Bill Lockyer is turning up the heat on drug companies and joining a number of states going after big drug like they did big tobacco. The bloods in the water and the sharks are circling. When I hear the lefts two favorite buzz words scheme and obscene profits I know something is a brewing. Is it a coincidence that the law suit falls at the heels of prop 79 and prop 78 or that consumer groups i.e. unions are praising Lockyer. Well Bill maybe after all this we can all drive to Mexico and buy our medicine from the great pharmacies there. You could even have a painting of drug companies being flushed down your toilet.

GLOBAL WARMING LAWSUIT

David Kravets for the AP writes That U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White ruled that environmental groups can sue federal development agencies on allegations that their projects overseas contribute to global warming. The decision by Judge White is the first to say that groups alleging global warming have a right to sue."This is the first decision in the country to say that climate change causes sufficient injury to give a plaintiff standing, to open the courthouse door," said Ronald Shems, a Vermont attorney representing Friends of the Earth (I guess everyone else is an enemy of the Earth)
Am I the only person that has been to a 3rd world country? Has any one else seen the pollution in these countries? Man a live that's were the problem is. This Nation has been the leader in pollution clean-up,and standards. If there is one thing that these countries need is development projects.
I feel that groups like Friends of the Earth have a hidden agenda and that is to halt capitalism and halt US growth. I don't see them suing any other country.

NO CONSENT NO PIERCING

Legislation reinstating a band on body piercing by minors was approved by the state senate. You could be fined up to $250.00 for piercing anyone under the age of 18 without parental consent. But do an abortion without parental consent no problem.

DRUG-BENEFIT INITIATIVES

Clea Benson writes an article in the SacBee regarding Proposition 79 and Proposition 78
Both propositions would be come bureaucratic nightmares costing at least $10 million annually. One statement that's chilling is this one from Prop 79 "But even Medi-Cal patients could still obtain drugs that were not on the preferred list if it were medically necessary. Their doctors would just have to obtain the states permission before writing the prescriptions."Well this is what happens when the State gets involved in the market place. Cant wait for the universal health care plans.

DEMS STILL FISHING

The National Archives has released some 66,000 pages of documents of Supreme Court Nominee John Roberts (2 boxes that I was abel to go over my self)Yet The Democratic Nation Committee says its not enough and filed a freedom of information act request seeking more papers. Again its just another fishing expedition holding out hope that something will be found. The DNC is letting the lunatic fringe of the left dictate to them and that's ok with me, it lets everyone know were they really stand.

DEMOCRATS SAME OLD PLAY BOOK

The Democrats are back to their same old tricks, what's bad for America is good for us. The Democratic National committee is trying to tell people that its Bush's fault for high gas. That Republicans are in the oil companies pockets, never mentioning they received $17 million from the industry.
What would the Democrats do to curb prices? The DNC said they'd investigate oil companies and their profits. Oh sure cant have profits in their socialist world. The truth is very little can be done in the oil market, prices have been driven up by China's huge new demands for oil. And gasoline is such a small part of oil imports that if we all started driving cars with very high mpg the price would hardly move. Plus the left likes to have it both ways we went to war for oil-we're paying to much for oil. Well which one is it.

REPORT of BOX 9 series I

Report of box9 series1 from the Reagan library documents of Judge Roberts in support of Hugh Hewitt Everything in this box was related to H.R. 3932 Home Rule for the district of Columbia. The papers are mostly memorandum from others and newspaper clippings. The only thing of any intrigue, is in his memorandum to Fred Fielding Nov.16 1983 last paragraph he writes that he was worried of OMB leaks to Distric officials regarding their position.I don't see anything in this box that the left could use.

BOX 30

BOX 30
It was my privilege today in response to Hugh Hewitt to report my findings of box 30 from the Reagan Library, regarding Judge Roberts. The majority of information in this box was memorandums arriving out of a dispute with the Ninth Circuit Court and the General Service Administration over the parking at the new facility for the Ninth Circuit in Pasadena. In his memorandum to Fred Fielding that he titled (amusingly I thought) Judge Chambers’ Chambers. It seems that Judge Chambers was upset over changes in the parking and the sell of a parcel of land at the site. Roberts writes ‘I agree with Olson that it is not in our overall interest to step on the judges’ toes if we can avoid it. On the other hand, if GSA’s representations are accurate, Judge Chambers is clearly being unreasonable.
The other interesting paper was the memorandum he wrote for Fred Fielding Counsel to the President regarding increasing judicial salaries dated Oct. 22, 1984 in it he writes, “If the philosophy of this President in the legal area is to be reflected in court decisions for the next generation, it is critical that those appointees remain on the bench.”
He also writes “In my view the judicial compensation problem is serious enough to merit our prompt attention. If action is not taken, we will encounter increased difficulty in attracting highly-qualified candidates for judicial office who will reflect the President’s philosophy and who will remain on the bench for the remainder of their professional lives.

DEAN ANOTHER DUMB COMMENT

You got to read the Robert Novak commentary regarding Howard Dean's statements on Face the Nation. He said that women will be worse off under the new constitution then they were under Hussein. Host Bob Schieffer knew how nuts his statements were and tried to leave that subject but Dean kept going back to it. I'm so glad the DNC has Dean for its spokeperson.

HERBERT AGAIN

Once again Bob Herbert of the NY Times shows what a partisan hack he is in his OP-Ed He starts out saying how George Bush spends his days happily riding his bicycle in Texas. What crap do you think all he or any other president for that matter actually leaves his duties as most of us do when we vacation?
He next complains about all the coverage Natalee Holloway gets and says we hear very little about the men and women who have given up their lives in Iraq- are you kidding Bob that's all we hear. We never hear about the good that comes out of there, that wouldn't fit your template.
He laments " If only war was more entertaining. Less a downer." Bob your an ass, the only thing that would make it entertaining is seeing you over there.
He next says that if the nation really cared, the president would not be frolicking at his ranch. Bob did you care when Clinton was being serviced by Monica? Of course not.
He also complains that when he was in Jacksonville Fla. he watched in amusement as a young women emerged from a restaurant into 95-degree heat( Its Fla. Bob) and gleefully exclaimed, "All right, lets go shopping!" The war was the furthest thing from her mind. So what Bo in your world people cant shop? Bob I will be a big guy and admit that sometimes when I'm working on the surgical ward or playing with my grandchildren the war is the furthest thing from my mind, Its called being normal.

Statement of Federal Trade Commision

Statement of Federal Trade Commission Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras on the 100 Millionth Number on the National Do Not Call Registry
I am pleased to report that, as of this week, the National Do Not Call Registry has topped 100 million phone numbers. This is a significant milestone for the Registry, which opened for business just over two years ago.
The Registry is an efficient and effective tool for consumers and businesses. While millions of citizens have chosen to limit the number of unwanted telemarketing calls they receive, thousands of businesses are able to target their calls to people who want to receive them. Industry compliance continues to be high, and registration remains free and easy.
The Registry speaks volumes about the success of government programs driven by consumer choice, and Americans’ preference for uninterrupted dinner-time conversation.
Thats just great wait a minute need to answer the phone!

DNC FILES FOIA FOR ROBERTS PAPERS

The Democratic National Committee will submit a Freedom of information Act request to the Justice Department-requesting documents pertaining to cases on which Supreme Court nominee John Roberts worked when he was a senior political appointee in the first Bush administration.
Again even as the Washington Post reported this week, that Democrats are not expecting to launch a major fight against Roberts' nomination most have infuriated liberal advocacy groups.
Sen.Patrick Lehay suggested that maybe Roberts has something to hide.
The DNC's FOIA request appears to be a fishing expedition, to find something-anything-that would bolster the case against Roberts.

ABEL DANGER

New information from Lt. Col. Shafferis that they had identified two of the three cells in 2001 more then a year before the 9/11 attack and by 2003 had identified Mohamed Atta as the ringleader. Lt. Col. Chris Conway a pentagon spokesperson said Wednesday an investigation into abel danger is under way. Lt.Col. Shaffer was turned away from the 9/11 commission and he said "I walked away in shock."
It makes me wonder what they didn't want to hear and why Jamie Gorelick was on the commission in the first place seeing how his guidelines were in place at the time.
Also makes me wonder what the hell were the papers Sandy Berger stole from the archives.

Judge Roberts

If you think the nomination of Judge Roberts will be a shoe in I don't think so. There is a lot of grumbling out there under the radar. The DNC has started sending out press releases about their displeasure with Judge Roberts. And it seems to make a target of Bush as it does Roberts. Much of the problems stem from his working with the Reagan administration when he was 29 years old. Howard Dean and Patrick Leahy are leading the attacks. And Barbara Boxers speech at Golden Gate University clearly shows she is ready to do what she needs to do. All these questions regarding his work as an attorney for the administration really have nothing to do with his views as a judge. If this was the case using their logic no defense attorney should be allowed to be a judge because they may have defended felons and must have shared their views.

VACATIONS OVER

Now that vacations over and the legislature returns lets keep an eye on SB60 this would allow illegal (yes illegal) aliens to obtain a drivers license.
From SB60 Section 2 Existing law requires the department to require every applicant for an original driver's license or identification card to submit satisfactory proof that the applicant's presence in the United States is authorized under federal law and prohibits the department from issuing a license or card to a person who does not do so. Existing law requires the department to adopt regulations, including procedures for verifying citizenship or legal residency of applicants for driver's licenses and identification cards, and to make a specified report, annually. This bill would repeal those requirements.

Cindy Sheehan

This time Cindy your wrong. If you want to protest the war in Iraq, no problem, but when you start running your mouth regarding Israel your out of line and prove to the rest of us you have lowered yourself to be a mouth piece for the left. Please Cindy read a history book. There has never been a country called Palestine, sorry.

THANK YOU ENGLAND

I know this is old news but I wanted to publicly thank the scientist at Sheffield University for discovering that men really do have trouble hearing women. The female voice is more complex then that of the male. Like a fine complex wine that needs to be opened and aloud to breathe before pouring out. So to all the women in my life, I really didn't hear you when you told me about your friends new boy friend or when you told me what your favorite color was. So you see when you start talking to me while I'm watching Mondaynight Football I'm not ignoring you I just cant hear you ;)

DEM CELEB

Cindy Sheehan has become the new Dem celeb. for the liberals. Camped out at the Craford ranch were she talks of how her son and other soldiers are used, she has no problem being used and manipulated by the left. She is featured in the Huffingtonpost Reading of her activity it sounds like she's at a democratic fundraiser. The post that follows Cindy's lead is a whose who in liberal politics. The first is from Cenk Uygur radio talk show host that compares the action Cindy to that of Rosa Parks.Cindy didn't have to worry about her safety for her actions, and Rosa didn't have CNN all around her. Other post are from Normen Lear, Jumpin Jim McDermott, and the I'm never going away Tom Hayden, and remember me Gary Hart.
Cindy the next time you talk about the Presidents illegal war remember 1.that FDR led us into WWII, Germany never attacked us;Japan did 450,000 lives lost
2. Truman Finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us, 55,000 lives lost 3.JFK started the Vietnam conflict. Vietnam never attacked us 58,000 lives lost 4.Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us.
If you think the war is taking to long remember
It took less time to take Iraq then it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Dividian compound.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

Proposition 73

The SacBee has an article by Peter Hecht regarding prop 73, the initiative that would require pregnant teens to notify a parent before getting an abortion. His article was fair and nonjudgemental. Planned parenthood is fighting hard against prop 73 They feel a teen should be Able to go an have a surgical procedure without parental consent. I would like to ask planned parenthood what would happen if the child started bleeding uncontrollably or acquired an infection and had to be rushed to the hospital. Who would pay for that? Would Planned Parenthood? Who would tell mom that there little girl died because of an abortion that went wrong? Planned Parenthood? Planned Parenthood complains how the teen would be scared. Why would they be scared? Because its wrong. All kids are afraid to confront their parents when they have done something wrong. No matter if its because they scratched the fender on the family car or failed a class in school. Kids will always be afraid to tell their parents, but they eventually do. What Planned Parenthood is really afraid of is that a pregnancy will go to term and a new life brought into the world.

IT WORKS EVERY TIME ITS TRIED

The SacBee Has an article regarding that tax revenue is up.
Like the title says every time there is a tax cut more revenue flows in. Something liberals ,aside from JFK never understood.

Humpty Dumpty

OK, so its not the usual political blather, but I thought what is the world coming to when Humpty Dumpty isn't even safe. It seems that a three foot bronze character of Humpty Dumpty has adorned the beachfront home of an Indian Shores, Fla. home for over a year. This weekend it vanished and the homeowners want him back. "He was kidnapped" the homeowner said. "We'er waiting for a ransom demand"
The couple paid $5112 for the piece, the 60lb egg was bolted atop a pillar of a concrete wall at their home. The couple is offering a reward for his safe return.

"We will not only bolt him, we will secure him back to this wall" the couple said. "We will pen him up. There's always one bad egg who spoils it for everyone else."

SacBee loves those taxes

In today's SacBee The Editorial bemoans the fact that the estate tax may be repealed, when the Senate returns from their August recess. And it will put a $20 billion hole in the budget-and creating a windfall to those who inherit wealth they did not create. Well what damn business is it of the Bee's or anyone else's for that matter what ones done with the wealth they accumulated. Why does the Bee always worry were the Federal Government will make up for budget cuts but doesn't care where the ordinary citizen has to come up with the money for an increase in a tax. And its always on the line like its only a dollar more per person.
The Bee acts like someone who has a large estate, that their family had nothing to do with that persons success. The Bee goes on to say if the owner buys life insurance, none of the heirs should have trouble paying the estate tax. Well if illegal aliens buy health insurance then we wouldn't have to pay for that.

Mother Of Fallen Soldier

As a vet and friend of a few fallen marines during Viet Nam I had a hard time deciding to comment on this women, that is camping out at the presidents ranch. In no way do I dispute her grief. When she first talked with President Bush at Ft. Lewis on June 24 she had nothing but praise for President Bush. She stated she knows he is a man of faith and was sincere about brining peace to Iraq. So what happened? Why is she now saying how terrible he was at their Ft. Lewis meeting? I guess what happens when you start getting a little face time with the press and see yourself on TV a few times you start to want more and start to believe your more important then your really are. I would like to tell Mom that the President didn't kill her son, the enemy did. Her son was a volunteer he was not drafted. Let her son's death have honor. I don't know if he would have liked her doing this, but I know he would sacrifice his life to defend her right to do so.

WHATS THE REAL PROBLEM

From the AP ST. PETERSBURG, Florida Just after Sactodan asks where is the Rev.Jackson? He pops up! It seems the good Rev. rushed to Fla. to the aid of a 5-year-old girl that was unruly in school. She is captured on video ripping papers off a bulletin board, climbing on a table and punching the assistant principal before police were called. Herein lies the problem. We put ourselves in the position were teachers can no longer discipline the children so they call the police. The police come and put the kid in handcuffs and place her in the police car were she starts to try to kick out the window. The video is released, the two cops get reprimanded, The mother plans to sue the city, and because the little sweetheart is black it must be racism so Jesse rushes down and gets some face time. Tricia Hoffler, an attorney for the girl and her mother (I wonder how long it took for Tricia to run to this car wreck?) Said she's planning to file a suit. "Our client will never be the same" she said. You are so right Tricia the kid has just learned that she doesn't have to take responsibility for her actions. I don't see were she apologized to the students or teacher. I don't see were mom said she was going to punish the kid. No she will never be the same, thanks to mom, Jesse and Tricia.
This article speaks volumes about our society.

HOW DARE BUSH BE PHYSICALLY FIT!!

The Democratic National Committee has put out a Fact Sheet (if that's what you want to call it) In their fact sheet the DNC complains that while President Bush is in superior shape America's children are not because of the budget cuts to physical education. Well I live within walking (remember that) distance to a grade school, middle school and a high school. All three provide excellent programs. But its not up to schools to see to it that kids are fit. As always where are the parents? Turn off the tv, the xbox or computer and get your kids out doors. I have five granddaughters and the ones that are old enough have been playing organized softball, soccer, or swimming. The parents are involved and yes before you ask both parents work. The DNC also seems to think the 2006 budget is the cause of obesity in children because of the budget cuts in physical education. I can provide a physical education program for nothing. Its called jogging, walking in place and calisthenics.
MAYBE THE DNC SHOULD TALK TO TEDpictured above

BOXER SPEAKS OUT

While we all knew Barbara wouldn't waste any time in speaking out against the Bolton appointment. And you can read it atBarb's I Like To Be Heard Website I thought her calling the administration arrogant was the pot calling the kettle black."W"just saved us from having to listen to you persecute and try to ruin someone's career.
